A popular Germantown restaurant was honoring the life and legacy of a culinary icon.Taste for Life celebrates the life of late chef Anthony Bourdain, who is known for his adventurous spirit and passion for food.The event was held at Four Pegs Smokehouse and Bar on Sunday.Guests were invited to sample food from more than 40 local chefs.Organizers say the event is about more than the food though.”We’re starting a conversation around mental health and getting rid of that stigma,” said Four Pegs Smokehouse and Bar owner Chris Williams. “We’re making sure that everyone knows that it’s OK to not be OK.”All proceeds from ticket sales of the event will benefit the Pete Foundation and Nami Louisville, which are two organizations that raise awareness for mental health issues within the service industry.
