AVON, Ohio (WOIO) – An Avon restaurant owner claims Uber Eats, a major food delivery service, owes him at least $1,100.

Tom Wagner, owner of Railroad Brewing Company, has been working with Uber Eats since February, and told 19 News he has not received payments.

“Might not seem like a lot of money to some, but for a small business like us, it’s a big deal for us,” said Wagner.

Wagner set up the account in February. Three weeks later, he noticed something was wrong.

“I realized we hadn’t received any money from them.”

Wagner checked his account and saw the routing number was wrong, pointing to a a bank he doesn’t use.

“It’s a Bank of America account. We use PNC. The money is going to someone else,” said Wagner.

Uber Eats receives the full payment immediately when a customer orders from his restaurant.

Wagner has it arranged so that he gets his portion weekly, but he was not receiving any payments.

“We’ve made the food, customers received the food,” he said. “That’s our cost that went out the door, and we’ve yet to been paid for it.”

Wagner has been trying to resolve the issue.

He contacted the sales representative for this area, who put in a claim ticket.

“A week later, nothing resolved. Then, it was day after day we would call. Then, I would contact him daily and he would stop answering my calls and texts,” Wagner said.

“We would call Uber Eats, hold on for 20 minutes, and then get disconnected.”

19 News called and emailed the representative communicating with Wagner the last few weeks.

We also tried reaching out to UberEats and could not get anyone on the line.

Wagner has since stopped using the service and said he just wants his money.

“We will never use Uber Eats again,” said Wagner.
