Foodosti, a local food delivery service focused on working with independent restaurants, has been live since May 1, and continues to grow in popularity.
The food delivery service has an app that is free to download. On the Foodosti app, customers may select the restaurant and food of their choice, confirm their order, then choose the delivery driver they feel is most suited for their delivery needs.

The business’ delivery drivers compete with one another through bids to make the deliveries. The decision as to which driver makes the delivery is entirely up to the customer.
Drivers make deliveries to customers until each restaurant’s respective closing time.
They have already delivered to over a thousand customers.

At this time, the delivery service offers food and beverages from Durham’s Pit BBQ, Masa, Sauced, The Abbey Restaurant, Amrit Cuisine of India, King Donut, Compadres Local, El Pescador Mexican Restaurant, Pour Boyz Sports Lounge, and The Kitchen by Brandon.

Multiple restaurants in Corbin have recently agreed to partner with Foodosti, though they are not yet listed on the app. This process will take a few more weeks, so keep an eye out for the change to find out which locations in Corbin will soon offer deliveries.
According to Foodosti’s website, D.O.S.T.I. is representative of the delivery service’s core values which are diversity, opportunity, sincerity, talent, and independence.
“We’ve had great feedback from everybody that uses it,” Vice President Mary Perkins stated.
The president and CEO of Foodosti is Kamran Hasni, a local nephrologist, whom Perkins explained has lived in the area for over 20 years, as has she.
Perkins shared a recent instance in which one customer was particularly pleased with the services of Foodosti when she ordered a meal through them that she had previously ordered through a nationally-known service, with the order through Foodosti costing $20 less.
“The people that have used us, they’ve used it multiple times and they said they love it,” Perkins stated.
Local restaurants, home chefs, caterers, and marts are welcome to sign up and list what they have to offer to be a partner of Foodosti through the Foodosti Partner app, which is available on the app store. Participating restaurants pay monthly subscription fees.
